'Rachel brought a bespoke four day Shakespeare course to Sedbergh School, introducing our Year 9 pupils to many different aspects of performing Shakespeare, In just three days she helped them feel confident speaking in iambic pentameter and even enjoying it! By the end of the third day they were able to respond to the humour and pathos of the text and feel brave about exploring imaginative ways to put it across to an audience.
Rachel developed a fantastic rapport with our pupils and converted even some of the most reluctant actors to enjoy Shakespeare. It was great to be able to see a full creative production on the fourth day.
We would recommend her very highly.'

Mrs. Lidiard, Teacher, Sedbergh School

Rachel's workshop was for a large group of amateur actors who had not performed Shakespeare before. Through a gentle progression of exercises the individuals were led into a better understanding of how to approach the content and delivery of the lines, and encouraged to share Rachel's enjoyment of the text, and its interpretation.
One of the actors was subsequently chosen to perform with the Royal Shakespeare Company in Canterbury and Stratford.
I would certainly recommend Rachel as a leader/ teacher for a Shakespeare workshop.

Rachel and Alice brought a tailored public speaking workshop to our Politics students. They turned the students into more confident and developed public speakers in a matter of hours. The students highly commended the workshop. They all reported on how useful the workshop was for them to enable them to perform better during their university studies and in their job search. Rachel and Alice achieved this by very quickly establishing a rapport with the students and by creating a very productive learning environment. We can highly recommend the work of the Raising the Bard team.
