Public Speaking Coaching - Individuals

Schools- Shakespeare in 4 Days
Raising the Bard's bespoke course 'Shakespeare in 4 Days' is available for secondary schools. We edit a Shakespeare play to 1 hour long and adapt the number of roles to the size of your group.
Days 1 and 2 are spent exploring Shakespeare's works and language, and building confidence in public speaking and acting. Day 3 is spent rehearsing the play, and on Day 4 the pupils perform their script-in-hand play to the rest of the school (or year group).
The current text is A Midsummer Night's Dream.
Body Language and Active Listening Skills Workshop
In this highly practical, interactive workshop students will improve their listening skills using practical exercises designed to ensure they stay in the moment and clearly communicate. They will also develop a greater awareness of body language and learn how to pick up on non-verbal cues from others.
Schools: Online Introduction to Speaking Shakespeare
This 1 hour Zoom workshop introduces students to some of Shakespeare’s monologues. From a performer’s perspective we’ll dismantle each speech and share different ways to approach, interpret, and ultimately enjoy performing Shakespeare’s works. We’ll look at language (rhyme, poetry, themes, iambic pentameter, patterns); interpretation (character, context, imagination), and performance (breath, energy, voice).
Speech Therapy
We offer one-on-one sessions to help with speech post-injury or illness. For these sessions we use professional warmups and exercises to work the organs of articulation and aid with speech recovery.
